Sizing

Resizing

All of our in-stock, ready-to-ship pieces are a standard US 7.

Please note that our ring resizing capabilities are limited to adjustments of 2 sizes up or down. This limitation is in place to maintain the structural integrity, design, and overall quality of the ring. Making more drastic size changes can potentially compromise these factors. So, while we'd love to accommodate all size requests, we want to ensure that the final product remains as beautiful and durable as intended.

Should you require a ring size that falls outside the range we can accommodate for our available in-stock pieces, we invite you to explore the possibility of a custom ring design with us. With a custom design, we have the flexibility to craft a ring in any size that suits your preferences.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns-we're here to help!

How can I find my ring size?

We provide ring sizers at no cost to you! You just pay for shipping at checkout. You can find them here.

Alternatively, if you prefer to be sized locally, we suggest having your finger sized with 1 or 2 reputable jewelers.

What is the typical timeframe for resizing my ring?

Resizing requires an additional 3-5 business days for processing.

What if I need to send my ring back for a resize?

We want your ring to be a perfect fit! Simply cover the shipping costs, and we'll take care of the rest!

We suggest confirming your ring size first to avoid the need for additional resizes, as each adjustment can affect the integrity of your piece. Visiting a local jeweler is the most economical way to ensure your ring size, or you can order one of our ring sizers here. If you are unsure of the wearer's size, we highly suggest ordering the unmodified size 7 first, and then send it back to us for the resize.

Our current turnaround time for resizes is 3-5 business days from the time we receive your ring.

Diamonds

Are your diamonds natural or man-made?

We specialize in both natural and lab-created diamonds.

Please note that all accent stones are natural diamonds unless otherwise stated in the product description. 99.9% of our in-stock pieces are made with natural diamond accents.

Do your diamonds include a certification or report?

Yes! Each center diamond is hand chosen by Brianna, and we exclusively source GIA or IGI graded diamonds. This includes lab grown diamonds.

It's important to mention that we don't grade melee (accent) stones. The grading cost for these smaller stones is relatively high compared to their value. Melee stones are typically sold in sizable parcels, sometimes comprising hundreds of diamonds, making individual grading impractical.

How do you source your diamonds?

Our diamonds are only sourced through our trusted diamond supplier, whose standards abide by the Kimberly Processand comply with the World Diamond Council System of Warranties, and is also a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council.

All polished, mined diamonds sold by our supplier(s) are:

  • Exported and imported with a government-validated certificate stating the diamonds are conflict-free.
  • Transported between signatory countries in a sealed, tamper-proof container.
  • Sold with a statement from the seller on all invoices guaranteeing the diamonds sold are conflict-free.

Gemstones

Are your gemstones natural or man-made?

At Lavender Creek Gems, we exclusively use naturally mined gemstones, avoiding any lab-created alternatives. Each of our pieces is meticulously crafted using ethically sourced gemstones, all personally handpicked by Brianna.

How do you source your gemstones?

Rest assured that we only provide ethically mined stones, that do not contribute to human suffering, or conflict. We specifically source all of our gemstones from small independent miners and brokers. 98% of our tourmaline stones are sourced as rough and custom cut in the US.

Do your gemstones come with a report?

Some of our sapphires are accompanied by a report, although not every stone in our collection includes one. Our semi-precious stones, which we highly value despite their classification, do not come with a report. This is because they are often sourced in their raw form and then expertly cut by our team. If you wish to obtain a report from GIA for your stone, we are more than willing to facilitate this service for a fee of $250. You can purchase a GIA report for your piece here.

FAQs

Can you recreate or restock a particular ring?

Although we recreate our styles, we cannot use the exact same gemstone for each new piece due to the unique nature of natural gemstones. We do, however, make an effort to recreate our styles using similar gemstones whenever possible. Diamonds are the exception, as they are more plentiful, and allow us to recreate pieces almost exactly.

Recreating a one-of-a-kind gemstone ring can be challenging due to several reasons:

  • Unique Gemstones: Each natural gemstone possesses distinct colors, patterns, inclusions, or cuts that render them truly one-of-a-kind. Finding a similar gemstone that matches the exact characteristics of the original can be extremely difficult. Using rare, high quality stones is the most important aspect of LCG, and while we try to accomodate most requests for replications, this is something we strive to keep consistent.

  • Variability in Gemstones: Natural gemstones are formed under unique geological conditions, resulting in variations in color, clarity, and overall appearance. Even if you manage to find a similar gemstone, it's unlikely to be an exact match in terms of all these aspects.

  • Exact Measurements: Achieving the exact measurements and proportions of a one-of-a-kind stone can be difficult. Even a slight deviation in dimensions can affect the overall look and comfort of the ring. Approximately 95% of our tourmaline stones are personally cut by us, and we frequently shape them according to the natural form of the rough stone. It's important to note that not all rough stones can be faceted into identical shapes.

  • Market Fluctuations & Scarcity: The availability and pricing of gemstones can change over time due to market fluctuations and sourcing challenges. This can impact the feasibility of recreating a piece at a similar cost. This holds particularly true in the present moment, more so than ever before. The demand for high quality colored stones is astronomically high, and in turn makes it difficult to source more rare stones.
What is the difference between a custom order and a made-to-order item?

At Lavender Creek Gems, we offer two distinct types of jewelry creations: Custom Orders and Made to Order. Understanding the difference can help you choose the option that best suits your needs and vision.

Custom Orders
A custom order allows you to work directly with Brianna to create a completely unique piece, whether it’s based on an existing design or entirely from scratch. You can choose everything from the center stone (shape, color, carat weight, diamond type, or gemstone) to the smallest details, making your piece truly one-of-a-kind.

Perfect for: Those who want a fully unique piece or to personalize a design with specific gemstones or diamonds to suit their style and story.

Made to Order
A made-to-order piece is crafted from a pre-existing design, and ordered directly from our website. Currently, we offer lab diamond or natural diamond center stone pieces, with center stone gemstone options coming soon. We're excited to expand our offerings and will soon allow you to choose your favorite gemstones for these designs. Additionally, for our diamonds, we offer set size options such as 1 CT, 1.5 CT, 2 CT, and 2.5 CT, giving you the option to select the perfect size for your piece. Should you want to choose the exact carat weight that falls outside of these ranges, a custom order may be a better fit for you!

This option has a faster turnaround as the design is already established.

Perfect for: Those looking for a beautifully crafted diamond piece without needing to design from scratch.

Are your gemstone rings one of a kind?

Absolutely! Every gemstone LCG piece is genuinely one of a kind and will never be replicated. Each gemstone is entirely unique, and it's highly unlikely to find an identical piece again. If there's a particular item in my store that catches your eye, I recommend acting swiftly, as it may never be available again.

Each piece is meticulously designed with specific stones and metal, ensuring they complement each other perfectly. It's important to note that the metal used in each piece is also integral to its design and cannot be substituted for another metal. Also, be aware that the stones cannot be interchanged or substituted for another stone in any piece.

Are your diamond rings one of a kind?

We pride ourselves on the uniqueness of every piece we create, each made with love. However, while our gemstone pieces are truly one-of-a-kind, diamond pieces are easier to replicate and can be more readily reproduced.

If the piece or gemstone I desire is out of stock, can I be placed on a waitlist to be notified when it becomes available again?

Ensuring the satisfaction of my customers is a top priority for Lavender Creek Gems. However, the unique sourcing challenges associated with colored gemstones such as emeralds, sapphires, and tourmalines, etc., can make it difficult to reliably meet expectations. While I strive to accommodate all requests, maintaining a waitlist for extended periods may not always be feasible for my small business. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Please also see the above FAQ in regards to recreating one-of-a-kind pieces.

Where is your jewelry manufactured?

All LCG pieces are crafted in the United States, with casted, recycled gold, and then hand finished.

Are your pieces ethically made and sourced?

Absolutely. At LCG, we understand the significance of ethical sourcing not only in our gemstones and diamonds but also in our manufacturing processes. We want to assure you that our manufacturing partner is a proud member of the Responsible Jewelry Council and our diamond suppliers also adhere to the Kimberley Process.

From the initial stages of production to the final creation of our jewelry pieces, we prioritize sustainability, fair labor practices, and environmental responsibility.

What metals do you use?

All of our pieces are made with solid metals, and nothing is plated. Our current metal offerings are as follows:

  • 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K Gold
  • 18K Royal Yellow Gold
  • 18K Yellow Euro
  • 10K, 14K, 18K Green Gold
  • 14K, 18K White Gold with Palladium (no nickel)
  • .950 Platinum (cobalt)
Can I use my own gemstone or diamond for a custom piece?

Unfortunately, we do not use customer provided stones, nor do we melt down jewelry to incorporate into a custom piece. We hope to offer heirloom redesigns in the future.

Are your settings available to purchase without the center stone?

While we appreciate your interest in our designs, we do not sell our settings. These are Brianna's original creations, and we prefer to be the sole artisans working on them.

Do you have a physical store where I can try on rings?

LCG currently operates exclusively online, but we hope to one day establish a physical location to meet all you wonderful people in person! We are based in Georgia, USA.

Do you provide appraisals?

At this time, we do not offer formal jewelry appraisal services, as we do not have a trained appraiser on staff. For accurate assessments, we recommend consulting a local jewelry store with a qualified appraiser. They have the expertise needed to provide precise evaluations for your valuable pieces. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to us via our contact form.
