How does the Build Your Own process work?

Our Build Your Own feature allows you to create a custom ring by selecting both a setting and a gemstone, bringing your dream ring to life—no custom order required! You can begin with either choice—select your setting first or choose your gemstone first, whichever you prefer. Once both are in your cart, simply complete your purchase to begin the process!

Can I purchase just the setting or just the gemstone?

No, we do not sell our settings separately. You must purchase both a setting and a gemstone for your order to proceed.

Do I need to choose a gemstone that matches my setting?

Yes, your chosen gemstone must be the same shape as your setting. Not all stones fit every design, so be sure to select a coordinating shape to ensure a proper fit.

What if I forget to add a gemstone or setting to my order?

Both a setting and a gemstone must be purchased together. If you check out with only one, don’t worry—we’ll reach out to you to make sure everything is correct before moving forward. However, to avoid delays, please double-check that both items are in your cart before completing your purchase.

Can I change my gemstone or setting after placing my order?

Changes can only be made within 24 hours of purchase. After this period, your order moves into production and cannot be modified.

Can I provide my own gemstone?

At this time, we only work with gemstones from our own collection and trusted suppliers to ensure quality, compatibility, and for liability reasons. We hope to offer the option to set client-provided stones in the future.

What if I don’t see a gemstone I like?

We frequently update our inventory with new gemstones. If you're looking for something specific, feel free to check back regularly, but we cannot guarantee availability for special requests.

Customization & Order Details

Can I modify the design of a setting?

Our Build Your Own rings are available as shown and cannot be modified beyond selecting your center stone. For fully custom designs, we offer a separate custom design process.

What metals are available for the settings?

All settings in the Build Your Own collection are available in 14k and 18k gold (yellow, white, and rose) and platinum.

Production & Shipping

What are your shipping policies?

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes, once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email or the Shop app. Please note that we do not update tracking until your item is prepared for shipment.

How long does it take for my Build Your Own ring to be made?

All Build Your Own rings are made to order and require approximately 8 weeks for production before shipping.

Can I rush my order?

At this time, we are unable to accommodate rush orders. We recommend placing your order a few months in advance of any special occasion to allow for production, shipping, and any unexpected delays.

Should I make plans based on the estimated production times?

We recommend waiting until your ring is in hand before making any plans. While we strive to meet estimated timelines, occasional delays can happen. We want this process to be stress-free for you, so planning ahead with flexibility ensures a smooth experience for all of us!

Sizing

What if I don’t know my ring size?

We strongly recommend getting sized by a professional jeweler in person before placing your order. While we do offer a free ring sizer (shipping costs apply), in-person sizing is the most accurate way to ensure the perfect fit. Resizing can affect a ring’s integrity, especially for certain designs, so it’s best to order the correct size from the start whenever possible.

Can my ring be resized?

Yes, all of our rings can be safely resized within two finger sizes. However, we are not offering resizing services at this time. You are welcome to have your ring resized locally, but please be aware that we are not liable for any damage caused by another jeweler, and we cannot guarantee their work. If your ring has been altered or worked on by another jeweler, we reserve the right to deny warranty repairs.

Cancellations, Returns & Warranty

Can I return or exchange my ring?

Because each Build Your Own ring is custom-made to your specifications, all sales are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Does my ring come with a warranty?

Yes, our Build Your Own rings are covered under the same warranty we offer for all of our pieces. For full details on what is included, please see our Warranty Page.

Can my gemstone be damaged during the setting process?

While rare, unexpected issues can sometimes arise during setting. We take every precaution to minimize this risk by working with only the world’s finest gemstones and expert setters.

What happens if my gemstone is damaged while being set?

If your stone is damaged during setting, we will contact you immediately to discuss the next steps. Because many of our gemstones are one-of-a-kind and cannot be exactly replaced, we will do our best to find a comparable alternative. If no suitable replacement is available, we will work with you to explore the best possible solution.

Am I responsible for the cost of a replacement if my gemstone is damaged during setting?

No, if damage occurs during the setting process, we will provide a replacement of equal value whenever possible. However, since many of our gemstones are unique, an exact match may not always be available. In such cases, we will work with you to find the best alternative.
